Originally from Berkshire, I am now based with my family in Sheffield, Yorkshire on the edge of the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District.
I have a background in sales and marketing, followed by 23 years experience as a business educator. I was an education leader for 15 years, including as a Headteacher.
After teaching business and supporting my wife's own successful business development I chose to set up my own Celebrancy business: Acorn 2 Oak Ceremonies.
I am a successful and experienced funeral and wedding celebrant. As an enthusiastic trainer and educator, I want to share with you my learning, my organisational tools and tips to help you create and run your own successful Celebrant business.
Whilst still working as a busy independent Professional Celebrant, Acorn 2 Oak Ceremonies Ltd was incorporated on 30th May 2023 to provide outstanding celebrant training.

I was moved to start my own Celebrant Training School as I was frustrated that most Celebrant Training providers offer only very expensive one-size-fits-all courses.
Many of the Celebrant Training courses available do not provide what is needed to help participants start their own business.
The success rate of participants who go on to run their own business after completing these courses is shockingly low.
I offer beginner and existing celebrants sharp and effective learning experiences that are better value and what is need to run a successful celebrant business.
